The ‘AUDREY HOBO BAG‘ was so much fun to make, even through the trials and errors that some of us went through while making this. They all turned out so amazing. I have found a few more bags that I think y’all will love to make.
I am pretty sure that ya’ll have been on google for countless hours trying to find that perfect pattern for what you have in mind to make. I have noticed that I ALWAYS end up on Moogly’s Blog. 9/10 patterns of hers I think are absolutely beautiful. I have gotten permission from her to use ANY photograph and link to patterns that I need for our blog round up posts. I’ve decided that if I use one of her patterns that they will be posted first. The ‘Manchester Handbag’ is exactly what I am talking about when it comes to her patterns.
Moogly said that she got her inspiration for this handbag by attending a Knit and Crochet Show in her state. I absolutely love this little handbag. I think I’m more in love with the stitch (I’m not a purse carrying person). I am only posting the link for the handbag pattern but, she does link the pattern for the matching sunglasses case. She does use a couple special stitches in making this handbag. She again has video tutorials on those listed. Other than that it is all Half Double Crochet. She used ‘Bernat Handicrafter 100% cotton yarn‘. You will need a 5.5 mm crochet hook to achieve the gauge in pattern. To make this stunning handbag please click HERE.
Seamlessly Stunning Handbag
This Handbag is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention it looks like ICE CREAM and who doesn’t love those 3 colors together?!? Because, this pattern is crocheted in the round there is no seam! It is all done using the basic single crochet stitch. She used 1 skein of the ‘Premier Yarns Sweet Roll – Cheesecake Pop‘, a 5 mm crochet hook. And it also says that she purchased Arched bamboo purse handles – 5.5-6.5 inches wide. No special stitches needed to make this bag; it is worked in the round from the bottom up! Years and years ago when I first learned how to crochet I had the bright idea of designing a bag that I could use when I went to the lake. At the time we lived in St. George Utah and we would go to Sand Hollow all the time cause its gawd awful hot there. Well, needless to say it was fail. This next tote is exactly what I had in mind when I attempted my version of it over 10 years ago.
Like I had stated in the previous paragraph, I’ve attempted to design this bag myself awhile back. This bag is perfect for your beach days, park day, etc. It looks so light weight. I love the colors this designer used, it makes it look I don’t know the correct word but I guess to me its perfect. This tote is designed with 4 colors of ‘Red Heart Super Saver Yarn’ , it is crafted with a 5 mm crochet hook. No special stitches needed to achieve this tote. She uses all basic/beginner stitches. Tote is worked in the Round unless otherwise stated in pattern. To make this tote please click HERE.
Patriotic Summer Tote Bag
This tote is super PATRIOTIC. It screams the Fourth Of July! I love that the handles look like actual rope. I just love everything about this bag. Especially the fact that it is two rectangles folded then sew’n together! She uses ‘Lily’s Sugar’n Cream yarn’ in 3 colors for a grand total of 5 skeins; 3 White, 1 Red, and 1 Dazzle Blue. You will need a 5.0 mm crochet hook to obtain the size. To find this pattern click HERE.
Crocheted Flower Purse
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!!?!?!?!?!?
My very first thought when I saw this purse. It totally reminds me of a old school vintage purse. All the pictures that she has posted of this purse made in different colors are absolutely beautiful! If ya’ll don’t know me I am and sucker for gardening. I like to think I have a green thumb. I absolutely love all the little daisy/sunflower looking flowers.
Anyways this purse is made from making a bunch of little flower motif’s. She has the exact amount of flowers listed you’ll need to make to obtain the size you want. She used 3 colors of yarn, said can be done with 2 if you can’t find a 3rd matching color. She used 1 color for the center of the flower, 1 color for the petals, and 1 color for the connector pieces and handle. To obtain size stated in pattern you will need to use a 3.5 mm crochet hook. She has so many pictures on the pattern to help show you what she did. I love that because this purse may be intimidating to some at first but it is super simple. To make this purse please follow the pattern found HERE.
That’s it everyone. I hope y’all enjoy making these as much as I enjoyed finding them to share!
STAY TUNED FOR MY POST ON THE SEPTEMBER’S CROCHET SURPRISE!
