Good morning? Are we all in the Christmas Spirit yet? I know that I am; and can’t wait to just be around my family that day!
I’ve been wanting to make a Christmas Tree Skirt so I went to Ravelry. To what did my eyes appear?!?! But, 4 pages of Crocheted Christmas Tree Skirts. Some of the ones I have posted may require a purchase, or a subscription to site, or even a download.
I know it’s only 2 weeks before Christmas, I should have thought about this post a month or two ago. But hey, now you have an idea to jump start your tree skirt for next year!
Happy Holidays Tree Skirt
You all know that I am in love with Moogly’s patterns. I have luckily gotten permission to use ANY of her photographs on our blog site. So make sure you go and follow her on her social media site. I love the little ripples in this skirt. Not to mention the color pattern; traditional coloring. It looks layered and a little 3D to me. To make this beautiful tree skirt you will need Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Cranberry (4 balls), White (3 balls), and Kelly Green (3 balls); a 6.5 mm crochet hook. This pattern has been brought to us by the wonderful Moogly – Happy Holidays Tree Skirt
Elegant Tree Skirt
This tree skirt is made with the basic of all basic crochet stitches. You will be using single crochet and half double crochet stitches. You can make this to match your Holiday decor; designer used TLC Amore – Grape and Caron Bliss – Snow. This pattern is made in the back loops only until you add the “Snow”. When using the TLC Amore you will need your 5.5 mm crochet hook; when using the Caron you will need your 6.0 mm crochet hook. This pattern has been brought to us by Crochet Kim – Elegant Christmas Tree Skirt.
Santa Tree Skirt
This is a PAID pattern. Normally I won’t post paid patterns because, our round up posts are based on the months Crochet Surprise Box. This tree skirt is just too cute to pass up! If your Christmas theme is Santa related, this is the skirt for you! $2.99 for a pattern is honestly a great price. I would pay that all day long for this adorable Santa Tree Skirt. It is based on the Intermediate skill level. To make this beautiful skirt you will need 2 hook sizes; 13 mm and 9 mm. It is made with super bulky or super chunky weight yarn. To purchase this pattern please visit Annie’s ePatterns Central –Santa Tree Skirt.
Victorian Tree Skirt
This is a downloaded pattern from Red Heart. I managed to get permission from a yarn company to use photographs from their site. What?!?! It’s amazing at how much just asking a simple question can get you. Anyways I love the rippled edge to this tree skirt. Makes it easy if you can’t get it perfect under the tree. Who doesn’t love poinsettias. Well they look like poinsettia’s to me which is why I love this tree skirt. To make this beauty you will need Red Heart Super Saver – Burgundy (2 skeins), Soft White (1 skein), and Dark Sage (1 skein) and of course your 5.5 mm crochet hook. To download this pattern follow this link Red Heart – Victorian Tree Skirt.
Plaid Tree Skirt
If you’re a fan of the Buffalo Plaid then this tree skirt is just for you! I just got done crocheting 6 pairs of plaid slippers (her pattern as well), the technique is so easy to learn. If you don’t all ready know how to do the plaid technique she does have a link provided to help you learn the plaid technique. Whistle and Ivy is so detailed with her videos and pictures; she is a great teacher and easy to follow along with. To make this tree skirt you will need Bernat Softee Chunky in Wine (5 skeins), Black (5 skeins), and Berry Red (3 skeins) and of course your 11.5 mm crochet hook.
